The trip starts in Norheimsund and takes you out on the Hardangerfjord. You pass the island of Kvamsøy before entering the fjord arm Fyksesund, the narrowest part of the Hardangerfjord.
Fyksesund is the only fjord arm in the Hardangerfjord without a road to the innermost part, and the last five kilometres of the 10,5-kilometre-long fjord runs between steep mountainsides to the hamlet of Botnen – a geographically closed local community.
On this adrenaline-filled RIB tour, the guide will stop several times to let you enjoy this unique fjord landscape. You will hear interesting facts about the fjord and people who used to live in the area. Fyksesund is also a great place to watch countless waterfalls that you will get all the way up to and feel the waterfall’s spray up close.
