In Book Hardanger, we believe that our work can greatly influence the future of our planet and the local communities in which we operate.

Therefore, sustainability is crucial in our day-to-day activities, and we keep looking for ways and ideas to have as little negative and as much positive impact on the environment, local culture, and economy as possible.

Environmental, economic & social sustainability

Working with our partners, the product owners, we map and gather information on how they work with sustainability to get a picture of our common influence on the environment.

Regarding social sustainability, we want to contribute as much as possible to developing the Hardanger region as an all-year destination. We aim to provide stable working conditions not only at our own company but also at our partners. We also aim to make Hardanger a universally designed, accessible destination to the most significant extent possible.

Economically, by developing the Hardanger into a full-year destination, we want to contribute to stable profitability for the region’s tourism companies. In addition, all profits from Book Hardanger will be re-invested back into the tourism industry in the region to further improve the quality of what we offer our guests.
