Vøringsfossen Waterfall is a must-see in Eidfjord. Located at the edge of Hardangervidda National Park, approx. 20 minutes’ drive from the fjord.

You can drive there yourself but fret not if you don’t have a car. The Vøringsfossen Waterfall Tours is a sightseeing tour by bus to Vøringsfossen that takes you straight from the quay in Eidfjord centre to the waterfall. There, you have about 1 hour to explore the astonishing 182-metre-tall fall from different angles.

There are designated walkways and viewing platforms on both sides of the waterfall, and a stair bridge connects the two. The part closest to where you get off the bus is accessible to wheelchair users and strollers.

Included hot drink at Fossli Hotel

Spend some time admiring the spectacular waterfall and the dramatic Måbødalen Valley, before retreating to Fossli Hotel for a complimentary warm drink. The hotel opened in 1891 with the most magical location at the top of the waterfall.

Show your ticket to the cashier at the ground floor café and choose your drink. On chilly days, you can heat up inside the café. On warmer days, we recommend sitting outside to enjoy the views of the valley and the mountain plateau.

Return by the same bus to Eidfjord centre.

Please note!

The bus ride takes approx. 25 minutes each way, and you will have approx. 60-70 minutes by the Vøringsfossen waterfall, including time for a drink in the café of the Fossli Hotel.
